Hybrid Mammography Applications Specialist & Technologist


The Siemens Healthineers Education & Workforce Solutions organization has overall responsibility for providing on-site technical training for Siemens imaging equipment in the Women’s Health modality at our customer's medical facilities. This includes training for screening and diagnostic mammography imaging, tomosynthesis including post processing and stereotactic breast biopsy if needed.

In this hybrid role you will ensure that the Clinical Education training on Siemens mammography systems and components are facilitated to provide expert technical training, deliver customer excellence, and represent the Siemens Healthineers Education & Workforce Solutions organization with professionalism with a focus on delivering a positive customer experience. The candidate will work with the Women's Health team, the Education Development Specialist, Education and Service Management, and the XP Women's Health Modality Sales and Service team to promote positive customer relationships as well as participate and promote internal team integration and networking resulting in a shared knowledge and expertise.  The candidate may also be required to fulfill duties and responsibilities of a staff technologist as part of a Siemens FlexForce staffing engagement as they develop.

As a contractor: A personal credit card is required with limits necessary to facilitate all travel expenses pending company reimbursement. Continuing Education, Professional Memberships, etc are personal responsibilities.  Siemens will reimburse applicable vendor credentialing requirements.

Clinical Education job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation: Prepare and gather necessary documentation for end user training at customer site.
  • Training delivery:  Conduct clinical training at the customer site to educate staff on how to safely and effectively use Siemens WH equipment for newly-installed systems, upgraded software/hardware features, and ongoing/remedial training as needed.
  • Customer Education and Equipment Turnover: Conduct educational sessions at the customer site to educate customers on how to use modality specific Siemens equipment.
  • Professional Administration: Complete regulatory and core process documents in a timely fashion.
  • FlexForce Tech responsibilities will be followed according to Siemens and as the customer defines.

Mammography technologist job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing mammography exams on all patients for the purpose of breast cancer detection while delivering exceptional patient care. 
  • Maintaining compliance with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures
  • Evaluating images for quality and facility standards
  • Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedures and perform quality control procedures as requested
  • Maintain clinical and technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs
  • Following facilities quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality/HIPAA
  • Obtain and maintain state licensure (if required) for identified FlexForce tech engagement

Required qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years dedicated clinical experience in Mammography
  • Ability to travel extensively up to 95%


  • Valid ARRT Certification in Mammography

Preferred qualifications:

  • Stereotactic Breast Biopsy experience preferred
  • BA or BS preferred
  • Management/supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
