CT Technologist


In this role, the successful candidate will serve to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a staff CT Technologist, performing diagnostic CT examinations in accordance with ALARA principles and department processes and protocols. The candidate will represent Siemens Healthineers and Clinical Education with professionalism with a focus on delivering a positive customer experience. The candidate will work with the Director of Radiology, the CT Modality team, the CT Education Development Specialist, and Education and Service Management to promote positive customer engagement as well as sharing of knowledge and expertise. 


  • The candidate will perform CT Technologist job responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Performing examination of patients of all ages for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness and disease. 
  • Performing CT diagnostic imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions according to department procedures and protocols 
  • Instructing patients in pretest preparation, answering questions, and explaining procedures 
  • Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administering contrast agents according to site-specific protocols 
  • Maintaining compliance with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures 
  • Adapting as necessary to eliminate or mitigate scanning artifacts 
  • Monitoring the patient for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes 
  • Evaluating images for quality 
  • Reviewing examinations as necessary with peers and physicians 
  • Informing physicians of preliminary findings as requested according to department procedures 
  • Distributing completed examinations to physicians and service providers 
  • Preparing diagnostic information for physician interpretation 
  • Maintaining patient charts, entering diagnosis and billing codes, logging data into patient information systems, and updating file systems for tests performed 
  • Maintaining equipment according to Infection Control procedures 
  • Performing equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems; recognizing equipment malfunctions and errors; engaging service as necessary; notifying all pertinent team members 
  • Maintaining clinical and technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs 
  • Maintaining current Permits to Practice and/or licensure in all states in which services are performed 
  • Following quality assurance guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality/HIPAA 
  • Interacting with client personnel and team members in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner
  • Demonstrate flexibility, reliability, sound judgement, and initiative 
  • Additional duties as required 


Minimum Experience & Required Skills

  • Valid ARRT Certification in CT 
  • BA or BS preferred 
  • Minimum 3 years dedicated clinical CT experience 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills 

Site-specific requirements: 

  • Expert knowledge with utilizing Siemens SOMATOM Force and SOMATOM Edge CT scanners 
  • Clinically proficient in routine CT imaging to include all body parts and organ systems 
  • Clinically proficient in advanced CT imaging to include CTA examinations of the head, neck, and body; PE studies, cardiac imaging, stroke imaging, trauma imaging. 
  • Clinically proficient in basic 3D post-processing on Siemens syngo.via 
  • Working knowledge of EPIC software 
  • Working knowledge of McKesson PACS 

Engagement specifics: 
• 3 month contract with possibility for extension 
• 40 hours per week – 1st and/or 2nd shifts
